The seniors from West Harrison High School visited their feeder schools on Thursday, because they want to inspire the younger students. One group traveled to Lyman Elementary, then North Gulfport Middle School. The other group headed to Lizana Elementary, then West Wortham Middle School.

As the seniors walked along the hallways, the future Hurricanes cheered them on with handmade signs, colorful confetti, and high-fives! West Harrison High wanted to hold this first-time event to inspire the younger students to set their own goals and graduate. Hopefully, the children can envision themselves walking along these same halls in their graduation garb one day.

"This was an awesome experience, not just for the West Harrison students, but for our students at Lyman as well," said Lyman Elementary Principal Beth Moran.

"Our seniors loved being back in their old schools. Many of them said they were surprised that the halls seemed so small and they were once that little. There were a few tears from the teachers too when they saw their former students again," said West Harrison High Assistant Principal Dr. Michael Weaver.

Congratulations to the class of 2017!!!
