HCSD Schools Recognized for State Academic Excellence

(HARRISON COUNTY, MS) On Monday night, Harrison County School District leaders celebrated the amazing achievements of 15 schools!  Harrison County School Board members joined HCSD Superintendent Roy Gill in presenting banners to ten A-rated schools and five B-rated schools. HCSD will also proudly display a banner for earning the District’s first “A” rating in its history.

West Harrison was recognized for ranking third in the state at the high school level, and Pineville Elementary was praised for ranking #6 in Mississippi.

Congratulations also went out to Pineville Elementary for being named a 2019 National Blue Ribbon School. The two other National Blue Ribbon Schools are D'Iberville Elementary and Saucier Elementary.

State Superintendent of Education, Dr. Carey Wright, will visit South Mississippi in late October to recognize HCSD and celebrate the District's A rating.
