Harrison County school leaders learn safety lessons from Homeland Security

Instructors from the Department of Homeland Security and Mississippi Law Enforcement Academy conducted a day long training seminar for all school principals, assistant principals, and directors in the Harrison County School District.  Several representatives from local law enforcement agencies also attended the program.

 

The training included some of the following topics:  CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events); Fusion Center Operations; Homeland Security Information Network; Intelligence Cycle; Social Media-Suspicious Activity Recognition, Human Trafficking in Mississippi and Gangs in Schools.
