HARRISON COUNTY, MS (May 10, 2022) – What a wonderful turnout this afternoon for our first Kindergarten Kickoff event! HCSD hosted the program for parents whose children will be attending kindergarten in the Harrison County School District beginning in August. The event was held at Crossroads Elementary School.
The families participated in some fun activities. Parents also learned about resources that they can use this summer to better prepare their students for kindergarten. Instructional Specialists Joanna Waltman and Dr. Jenny Webber, along with several teachers, shared important tips and answered questions.
The next Kindergarten Kickoff meeting will be held at Harrison Central Elementary on May 17 at 5:30pm. We invite parents of incoming HCSD kindergartners to join us.
