HARRISON COUNTY, MS (April 30, 2021) – What an amazing season for the West Harrison High Cheerleading Squad! The Canes won a national championship title by capturing first place in Orlando over the weekend in the Large Co-Ed Game Day Division. The Canes had an undefeated season this year and they brought home national championship medals, trophies, and jackets.

“I am so proud of the West Harrison cheer squad and their will to prevail, despite the many hardships that have been thrown at them this year. I am fortunate, and will be forever thankful, to have been a part of this journey and this team!” said Coach Caitlin Holley.

“I am so proud to be the coach of this squad, and to be able to work with my co-coaches Caitlin Holley and Jacob Stewart. Together we have pushed our cheerleaders to take pride in their abilities and work hard for what they want. They have accomplished every task we put in front of them this year, despite every hardship that they faced. They gave their all for almost an entire year of practice, and their hard work paid off. Now we can call ourselves National Champions!” said Coach Heather Serpas.
