Masks Remain Optional in HCSD

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (August 4, 2021) - During a special-called meeting Wednesday night, the Harrison County School Board voted 3-2 to follow public health guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding face masks. Currently, the CDC strongly recommends that students, teachers, and staff wear masks while inside school buildings and buses. Masks and facial coverings will be optional in HCSD. Our schools will continue to take the necessary precautions to support the HCSD mission of providing a safe and healthy learning environment for our students, teachers, and staff.
