MGCCC FAFSA Night Details Warrior Soccer Team Warrior Soccer Teams in State Playoffs Again
- On Tuesday, January 12, 2010 the Warrior Boys and Girls teams faced an opportunity to qualify for the MHSAA State Soccer playoffs. However, standing in their way were the West Harrison Hurricanes, a division foe. The Warriors could lock up a guaranteed playoff spot with a win over the Hurricanes, or depend on help and tiebreakers if they suffered a loss.
The girls fell behind early 1-0 but battled back to win 2-1 behind goals by Dani Craft and Brandee Kovacevich. Cassidy Smith and Dani Craft dished out the assists on the goals. Aundrea Borchardt made several great saves in the goal to secure the victory and guarantee the warriors a playoff appearance.
The boys won an exciting game by a score of 3-1 of the Hurricanes. Dallas Mansfield recorded a hat trick with three goals while Tyler Jarrett and Brynnen Keel each had an assist in the win. Ethan Richard turned away the late Hurricane threats in goal to propel the Warriors into the playoffs.
Both teams have a chance to win the division as they go against Long Beach in two pivotal games to determine the division championship. DHS Report Card 2008 - 2009 Harrison County School District
Report Card 2008-2009
(Part A: No Child Left Behind Act of 2001)
The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 requires school districts to publish report cards containing certain information. The required information falls into three general areas: school improvement, teacher qualifications, and test data. A school that fails to make adequate yearly progress in achievement must be identified for school improvement. The report must contain information about the professional qualifications of teachers in core academic subject areas [English, reading, language arts, science, mathematics, foreign languages, arts, civics and government, economics, history and geography]. Highly qualified teachers are those who satisfied the NCLB criteria during the school year. The report must also contain achievement data for specific subgroups, two-year achievement trends and student participation rates.
Please contact the principal of your child's school if you have questions about this report.
