Important registration information for HCSD parents!

Hello parents!  Summer may be on your mind right now, but it's also a time to do something very important for your children, get them ready for the upcoming school year.

Student on-line registration is officially open in the Harrison County School District, and we want to guide you through the process, especially if you are new to the district.

There are two main steps. The first is registering on-line.

Make sure you have important family documents handy.  The information you will need, depends on whether your child is a new or returning student.

RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION:

Even if your children attended school in the district the previous year, you must still register them for school this year.

For returning students, begin by registering through the “InfoSnap” on-line portal that’s on the Harrison County School District website.

Go to "Quick Links" on the right side of your screen, and click on "Enrolling Students". Next, click on the “Returning Student Registration Form for 2018-2019” and fill it out.

You will need a Snapcode, which is a 15-character code for each student.

Schools sent home new Snapcodes to parents at the end of April.  If you haven’t received your new Snapcode, please contact the school where your child will be attending.

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION:

If your child is new to the district, you do not need a Snapcode.

To register, just go to the Harrison County School District website, and click on the “New Student Registration Form for 2018-2019” and fill out the information.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

If you need help with registration, you can visit your child’s school from May 21st  – 25th. Our schools will have computers and staff available to assist you.

The next step is for you to go to your child’s school to finalize registration.

Starting July 18th, you need to bring in two proofs of residency and other supporting documents that are required.  Here are some examples of proofs that are accepted.  You can find the full list on our district website. Remember, documents with a post office box as an address will not be accepted.

If your child is entering kindergarten, please contact the school where your child will be attending to find out what kind of supporting documents you will need.

We encourage you to register for school, and provide two proofs of residency, by the July 31st deadline.  This will allow our schools to complete the scheduling process, so your child will have an assigned classroom, and be ready to learn on the first day of school , which is August 7th.
