Surprising April HCSD Staff of the Month Winner

(May 15, 2025) - Emotions flowed as we celebrated our HCSD April Staff of the Month winner, Mr. Kevin Dorsey. We stopped by West Harrison Middle School to surprise him with the exciting news. As you will see, his reaction was priceless!  

Mr. Dorsey began working in the Harrison County School District in 2022 as a SPED interventionist. He is currently serving in the SPED self-contained inclusion class at West Harrison Middle. His motto is: "We must remain positive at all times when we are at school."  

“He always strives to keep a smile on his face for his students,” said WHMS Principal April Daniels.

Mr. Dorsey received a certificate from HCSD. Our education partner, Guild Mortgage Gulfport, presented him with a $100 restaurant gift card, school supplies, and a box of cookies from a local bakery.
