Surprising October HCSD Administrator of the Month

(October 21, 2025) – It’s always great to start a leadership meeting with a surprise! This morning, our education partner, Guild Mortgage Gulfport, dropped by Central Office to celebrate Mrs. April Daniels of West Harrison Middle School as our October District Administrator of the Month winner. She received a certificate, $50 restaurant gift card, and a $50 shopping gift card.

Mrs. Daniels joined the Harrison County School District in 2018 as an Assistant Principal at Lyman Elementary. She later became Principal of Crossroads Elementary, where the school earned an “A” rating under her leadership. After returning to Lyman Elementary as Principal for two years, she transitioned to her current role as Principal of West Harrison Middle School.

Now in her 19th year of education, Mrs. Daniels is recognized for her dedication to academic excellence and her passion for student success. She is married to Kevin Daniels, and they have four children: Jaylen, Jordan, Alexis, and Laila.
