Surprising HCSD October Teacher of the Month

(November 20, 2025) – A mentor meeting today provided the perfect setting for a teacher surprise! As the meeting got underway, we announced to the group that Ms. Debra Dunn of Saucier Elementary is our October District Teacher of the Month winner! Ms. Dunn received a certificate of recognition, $50 gift card, a goodie bag, and balloons from Huntington Learning Center of Gulfport.
 
Ms. Dunn is a special education teacher. She is in her 10th year of teaching in HCSD and her first year at Saucier Elementary. She expressed how honored she felt to be celebrated!
 
“Ms. Dunn is such an amazing teacher! She meets her students where they are and works so diligently to help them grow. She is committed to excellence and is a shining example of what teaching is all about. We are so thankful for her," said Saucier Elementary Principal Alyson Grissom.
