(March 12, 2026) – The entire school turned out today to surprise and celebrate Mrs. Kirstin Lott as our February District Staff Member of the Month!

Mrs. Kirstin has faithfully served Pineville Elementary for the past five years as the school’s only custodian. Before joining Pineville, she shared her love for children as a preschool teacher. Her dedication, hard work, and positive spirit help create a welcoming and clean environment for students and staff every single day.

As Mrs. Kirstin walked down the hallway, students and teachers lined the walls, cheering and clapping for her. The overwhelming show of appreciation moved her to tears. She became even more emotional as she was presented with a certificate, a $100 restaurant gift card, and a box of green shamrock cookies from Guild Mortgage Gulfport. The staff even decorated her office as a special show of appreciation!

When asked about her favorite part of the job, Mrs. Kirstin said, “The children and talking to coworkers. The kids are really sweet. They are always willing to give me side hugs. I really love it when I walk into the school, and I can smell that it is clean.”

Pineville Elementary Principal Jamie Boyer shared, “Mrs. Kirstin takes great pride in her work every day. She truly embodies the culture and expectations not only for Pineville Elementary, but for the Harrison County School District.”

Mrs. Kirstin is married to Daniel Lott, and together they are raising their 15-month-old daughter, Marigold.
