Harrison Central High Teacher Named Finalist for MS Teacher of the Year Honor

(March 20, 2026) – Please join us in congratulating Harrison Central High English teacher Cody Eadie on being selected as the Congressional District 4 Teacher of the Year for Mississippi! Mr. Eadie is now one of four finalists for the Mississippi Teacher of the Year honor!
Mr. Eadie has been a pillar of excellence at Harrison Central for 13 years. He teaches 10th-12th-grade English II, AP Seminar, AP Research, and Dual Credit Composition I and II, and has served as the English Department Chair since 2017. Mr. Eadie has transformed the ACT preparation program at HCHS, contributing to a dramatic rise in the number of students scoring 30+ on the ACT and propelling students to attend prestigious universities. Since 2019, HCHS has sent about 25 students to Top 20 institutions, including Ivy League Universities and highly selective research campuses. He was instrumental in introducing the AP Capstone Diploma at HCHS, positioning the school as one of the select few in the state to offer this advanced program. He has also received the Mississippi STAR Teacher Award for a record nine times.
