(April 23, 2026) – We are excited to celebrate Ms. Anna Couey as our HCSD March Novice Teacher of the Month!

Today, Mrs. Marcy Sherfield with the Huntington Learning Center dropped by Saucier Elementary School to surprise Ms. Couey with the big news! She received a certificate, $50 gift card, teacher supplies, and balloons.

“Ms. Couey has been a wonderful addition to our school family! Her outstanding work ethic has helped her shine as a quality teacher. Anna Couey strives to provide high quality lessons to her students every day. We appreciate her commitment to supporting her students both in and out of the classroom,” said Saucier Elementary Principal Alyson Grissom. “Thank you to the Huntington Learning Center and Harrison County School District for recognizing Ms. Couey and all the educators who work so hard to support our students!”
