HCSD Hosts Inaugural Retirees Celebration

(May 26, 2026) – Tonight, the Harrison County School District hosted our inaugural districtwide Retirement Banquet to honor 67 extraordinary people whose dedication, compassion, and commitment have left a lasting impact on our schools and community. These educators, administrators, teacher assistants, bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria workers, maintenance team members, central office, and other support staff have poured their hearts into serving students and families across our district. They have inspired generations, built relationships, created opportunities, and helped shape the future of Harrison County. Each retiree leaves behind a legacy of service, leadership, and care that cannot be measured simply by years worked.
Tonight’s celebration is a tribute to the years of sacrifice, long hours, support, and passion these retirees have given to public education.
To our 67 retirees: thank you for your commitment, hard work, and for the difference you have made throughout your careers. Your influence will continue to be felt in the halls of our schools and in the lives of the students and coworkers you inspired. Congratulations on your well-earned retirement! May this next chapter bring you joy, relaxation, and fun adventures. Please know that you will always be a part of our HCSD family.
We also presented special awards to our valued sponsors:
