(August 3, 2026) – Our first Administrator of the Month award for the 2026-27 school year goes to Dr. Christopher Spencer - Principal of the Harrison County Alternative School!

This morning, we surprised Dr. Spencer with the exciting news! HCSD Superintendent William Bentz presented Dr. Spencer with a certificate of recognition, and our education partner, Guild Mortgage Gulf Coast of Gulfport, presented him with a $100 gift card and a box of school-themed cookies.

Dr. Spencer brings 17 years of experience in education, serving students and schools at the elementary, middle, and high school levels as a teacher, coach, and administrator. With nine years of administrative experience, he has spent the last five years serving HCSD students, families, and staff.

Dr. Spencer is currently in his third year as Principal of the Harrison County Alternative School, where he is committed to creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment that empowers students to grow academically, socially, and personally.
