(September 11, 2026) – We are excited to celebrate an awesome educator who is already making a difference in her very first year of teaching!

This morning, we surprised Ms. Madison Hill with the August 2026 District Novice Teacher of the Month award! Ms. Hill is an inclusion teacher at West Wortham Elementary & Middle School. She received a certificate of recognition, plus a $50 gift card, teacher supplies, and balloons from the Huntington Learning Center.

Ms. Hill expressed her deep appreciation for all the support and encouragement she has received since day one.

“I recently graduated from Southern Miss (To The Top)! I am a teacher because I believe all students deserve a meaningful education, and I have the opportunity to advocate for all students to get that. My first month in teaching has moved incredibly fast, but every co-teacher, administrator, student, and staff member at West Wortham and HCSD has helped me learn more in five weeks than I thought possible. I am so looking forward to the rest of the year of learning!”
