Our first District Teacher of the Month for 2026-27 is an amazing educator who believes she was destined to join the Croc family.

Mrs. Regina Boone is in her 22nd year as a certified teacher, and her journey to Crossroads Elementary reflects patience, perseverance, and purpose.

“Five years ago, I had a vision of ‘green’ and ‘gold’ as school colors. I thought that would be immediate. It took me five years, a new state, and two additional school districts before I came to Crossroads. I knew from my first day here that I was walking in my purpose. I trust and believe that God places us where we need to be if we have the patience to wait.”

Mrs. Boone’s eyes filled with tears when we showed up this morning to surprise her with the August District Teacher of the Month award! She received a certificate of recognition, along with a $50 gift card, teacher supplies, and balloons from the Huntington Learning Center.

“Thank you, Huntington Learning Center, for this honor!” said Mrs. Boone. “Crossroads has an amazing staff, great students, and a supportive administration. I’m thankful my journey led me here. I’m doing what I am passionate about each day, and I love it!”
